Testing Temporal Constancy of the Spectral Structure of a Time Series
نویسنده
چکیده
Statistical inference for stochastic processes with time varying spectral characteristics has received considerable attention during the last decades. We develop a nonparametric test for stationarity against the alternative of a smoothly time-varying spectral structure. The test is based on a comparison between the sample spectral density calculated locally on a moving window of data and a global spectral density estimator based on the whole stretch of observations. Asymptotic properties of the nonparametric estimators involved and of the test statistic under the null hypothesis of stationarity are derived. Power properties under the alternative of a time varying spectral structure are discussed and the behavior of the test for fixed alternatives belonging to the locally stationary processes class is investigated.

Herbal plants zoning using target detection algorithms on time-series of Sentinel-2 multispectral images (Amygdalus Scoparia)
Today, medicinal plants have a special place in the economy and health of a society. Due to the natural growth of many of these products, the necessity of zoning them for optimum and optimal utilization seems necessary. Traditional zoning solutions are not efficient due to their low accuracy and speed, therefore a new approach is needed. Remote sensing data have many applications in various fie...
متن کاملSpectral Estimation of Stationary Time Series: Recent Developments
Spectral analysis considers the problem of determining (the art of recovering) the spectral content (i.e., the distribution of power over frequency) of a stationary time series from a finite set of measurements, by means of either nonparametric or parametric techniques. This paper introduces the spectral analysis problem, motivates the definition of power spectral density functions, and reviews...

The present paper introduces the Bayesian spectral analysis as a powerful and efficient method for spectral analysis of photometric time series. For this purpose, Bayesian spectral analysis has programmed in Matlab software for XZ Dra photometric time series which is non-uniform with large gaps and the power spectrum of this analysis has compared with the power spectrum which obtained from the ...
متن کاملGoodness-of-Fit and Badness-of-Fit Diagnostic Tests for Time Series Models
Diagnostics for testing model goodness-of-fit and badness-of-fit for time series data are formulated by considering a convenient metrization of a spectral density’s departure from constancy. The method is illustrated through numerical experiments and several case studies.

Extended Abstract. Forecasting is one of the most important purposes of time series analysis. For many years, classical methods were used for this aim. But these methods do not give good performance results for real time series due to non-linearity and non-stationarity of these data sets. On one hand, most of real world time series data display a time-varying second order structure. On th...
